If you want the police to respond to an intrusion

alarm at your home, you are required to have a

permit.

The Summit County Communications Center administers registration of security systems. If you have an alarm system and want police response you must register your system. The annual fee is $ 50 which allows for one false alarm in a twelve month period. Additional false alarms cost an additional response fee. The second false alarm response is $ 75, the third $ 150 and the fourth $ 300. If you decide you need to register your system, use the link below to be connected to the county’s site.
